What Are Remarkable Wall Rubs™?
Rubs are lettering, ornate alpha’s, and embellishments that are precision cut on very thin pieces of vinyl, about the thickness of 3 coats of paint. They have an adhesive on the back that adheres them to your surface until you choose to remove them. Because of the thinness of the vinyl, your letter rubs or embellishments look like they have been painted by hand on the wall. Rubs will not fade, crack, or peel.

Why should I use Remarkable Rubs™ instead of just stenciling?
While having the benefit of appearing "painted on" our lettering has none of the disadvantages of painted letters. There's no smudging with vinyl film, letter borders are crisp and clean. Your chosen phrase arrives ready-to-apply in a single horizontal strip with each letter perfectly formed and pre-spaced, all in your preferred font and color.

You can use your creativity and a pair of scissors to divide your phrase so the lines break exactly where you think they should prior to installing. No prior experience is needed to install the lettering and most expressions can be installed in under 30 minutes. While our letters will stay in place for many years once installed, they are also easily removable if the need arises.

What surfaces can Rubs™ be applied to?
Your Rubs will stick to almost any smooth or lightly textured surface. This includes painted walls, wood, glass, smooth stone, mirrors, and metal. Rubs will not adhere to brick, stucco, or any similar porous textured surfaces.

Are my Rubs™ removable and will they damage my walls?
When you want to remove your Rubs simply lift the corner of each letter with your fingernail or tweezers. Slowly and gently pull it up at an angle. If your Rubs have been up for a prolonged time you may want to us a blow dryer to loosen the adhesive. Set the blow dryer on a low heat setting and use it to soften the lettering. Once your Rubs are removed they can not be used again.

What if I want a font that Remarkable Walls™ doesn't list?
Contact us with the name of the font you would like. We will tell you if we have it, and if it will work with the lettering you want.

How do I determine the height of my writing on the wall?
The size of your lettering is measured from the top of the tallest letter to the bottom of the lowest letter. i.e.: if you want the name "Courtney" in 2 inch letters, we measure from the top of the "S" or the "t" (depending on which letter is tallest for the font you have chosen) to the bottom of the "y". This means the main part of the name may only be 3/4 inches tall.

Do I have to place each individual letter on my wall separately?
No - your Writing on the Wall will come as one complete transfer. Each letter is pre-spaced to ensure a perfectly spaced look. You may cut the transfer into pieces and space them yourself if you choose to.

What if I mess it up when I apply it to my surface?
Depending on your quote your lettering may come in one piece or several pieces. Many customers have found it to be easier to work with smaller pieces at a time. Follow the directions on the instructions sheet and tape your Rubs to the walls (be sure to run the wooden applicator over the application tape so it is secure. Sometimes it may loosen or curl in transit) Once you have it taped you can cut up the middle to “section” your letters. Then follow the instructions for each section until it is complete.

How do I clean my Rubs™?
Wipe them softly with a damp cloth.
